Vinyasa Yoga for Beginners with meghancaves

This class is a great place to start for someone who is new to yoga. Vinyasa yoga is a more active style that helps build strength in the body while also stretching the muscles as we go. This class will go through some of the basic poses, while also offering a great workout!

I have been interested in some sort of movement or perfomance based activity since I was a child. Beginning gymnastics at a very young age, I progressed to dabble in many different forms throughout my life from dance of all kinds to show choir, drama, stage combat, stage movement, clowning, pilates and, finally, to yoga. It took me a while to find the style of yoga I really enjoyed, but when I did, I instantly fell in love!
Experience
I teach Vinyasa or Flow yoga which has it's basis in Hatha yoga. Vinyasa style literally flows from one pose to another focusing on breathing with the movement. I enjoy adding my own flare to my yoga sequences and encouraging a relaxed and positive atmosphere. My training background comes from YogaFit which also has it's own style of Vinyasa and it's own style of teaching. I have 70 hours of training with YogaFit with 4 certifications (Level 1-3 and Seniors) and approximately 250 hours (8 months) of teaching. I am always taking more trainings and finding new ways to change up my workout! I really enjoy the continued education!
