I am from a small town in Missouri but About a year ago despite all "plans" i found myself in Long Beach California.I have many present joys in my life, teaching/practicing yoga being one of many. I have an insatiable desire for free form, ecstatic dance! There's no greater freedom than letting go of your mind and losing yourself in the rhythm. It is a great meditation practiced by many different cultures throughout time. I am also trained in Thai Yoga Massage through Cloud Nine Yoga by Erika Faith Calig. I love the reciprocal nature of this form of bodywork and look forward to learning more styles and modalities of healing.
You may also find me spinning poi, bellydancing, playing the fiddle, singing other people's songs on my guitar, playing a djembe, making delicious vegetarian meals, chasing a frisbee, hula hooping, hiking to hot springs, riding my bike, making vegan ice cream with eileen, stealing kisses from babies, drawing mandalas, painting, picking fruit and smiling.
I also spend my time with my own small business Redstone Pottery. I was trained by my father to create functional ceramics in his traditional styles and glazes. It is a meditative art, centering yourself, as you center a piece of clay on the wheel. I feel blessed to have learned this family tradition. Creating art for everyday use feels like magic. Taking a squishy piece of earth, mixing in a little time, attention, fire, and you create future archaeological relics. Please feel free to visit my Etsy page and explore some of my wares. www.redstonepottery.etsy.com
